Friends

We also took the opportunity to catch up with several friends. First we went to Southwold ... on the pier is a plaque in memory of David's dad which we cleaned ....





and then we moved to the restaurant on the pier which we used as a rendezvous point for us and our friends to catch up on each others news

From there we moved over to Norfolk to meet more friends

Obviously we also had quite a lot of retail therapy whilst in the UK. We stayed with my brother some of the time and this next picture is for all you cat lovers ... it's his cat called Peaches

UK spring gardens

In the gardens all the trees and bushes were in full bloom





you forget just how lovely spring is in the UK

The Bluebells

One thing that struck us was the beautiful colours around the fields and gardens of England.


Take these bluebells for example that we found in an ancient woodland near Ipswich ... they stretch as far as the eye can see.




and the smell was absolutely gorgeous

Not something we can find around our area in Turkey

Mum's 90th Birthday Bash

You may have wondered why no blog updates for a while .... the reason is that we went back to UK to join the celebrations of Mum's 90th  birthday.


Here she is giving her thank you speech at "the do".

Top Terrace

Our top terrace is really looking good now ... our own rooftop garden

All the plants seem to like it up here

Another good day sailing
